Hello my name is Teresa

an alcoholic and grateful member of alanon

I am speechless right now

which is new for me

my 9 year old gave me my medallion this morning

at f2f

all she could say is that my mommy is 11 years sober and she kicked out my daddy

what a way to start a presentation

she is a gift for me

a chance to be a mother again sober

from the start

I have 2 other children

who saw there mother trying to self destruct in alcohol

and was able to reach sobriety

I have gone through alot of hard time in these years

2 deaths

divorce, one pending

job change

and a lot of stress

yet, aa taught me no matter what

do not pick up a drink

and that will always stay behind me
