11th AA
Birthday Share
thanks Teresa, Joannie here an alkie for sure
What a GREAT day to be ALIVE and SOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11
yrs ago i had virtually no hope that i could remain sober any amount
of time
i
had a almost 3 yrs dry period before. i say dry cause i was still
doing it MY WAY, choosing the
steps i wanted, one meeting a week and no sponsor
When i had that 'just one drink' it was a three yr long one and dang near killed me
I didn't Start drinking 'til i was 32 yrs old and was at deaths door at 56
so i didn't have much hope But AA and God was my ONLY hope
and
i grabbed on to it as only a lifeline it was
I
finally surrendered and did as i was told even when i didn't want to
i got up EVERY morning and attended a AA meeting at 7am, didn't matter
if it was below zero and icy out , i went. i wanted what you people had
i
didn't make 90 in 90 i made more like a year was afraid to stop
besides
i had learned to love those meetings
went
to other ones too. Slowly my life began to change. for the BETTER
who
would have thought it. Today my life is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
beyond anything i could have possibly dreamed of and i am so Grateful
Grateful to God and Alcoholics Anonymous and aaonline.net. who saves me daily yet from me.
thanks to all of you and may God bless you all real good today and always g/a
