Hi everyone, I'm Anthony, alcoholic

Hard to believe it's been a year since my boss whisked me away to treatment!

But there from the start was some gratitude - that my employer understood more than I did about my situation and believed I was worth salvaging.

I've tried to do what was suggested in treatment - meditation, meetings, talking with others...and it's kept me pretty grounded

My treatment center had it's alumni reunion this weekend, and that was great. Realized that's the first time in the 9 months I've been home that I've devoted that much continuous time to recovery.

It was great to see old friends, the docs and counselors who gave me encouragement to get started on this road.

But on my way home today, I drove straight to my home group for a meeting. I missed them. And I'm glad to be here now. Missed y'all too. So I guess I've grown in that year.

All birds must leave the nest!
